If it's Your will, remove this thorn from me.
If You will, please set me free.
But give me peace, let my soul tranquil be,
So whatever thorn I face
I can look and see Your grace
And know it's sufficient for me.

But if this thorn is one that I must bear,
Help me learn the lesson there.
"Please give me strength" will be my daily prayer
So that as this thorn I face,
I can look and see your grace
And know that you truly care.

Without the thorns, how strong would my faith be?
Would I learn to trust in Thee?
Would I live my life less patiently?
So I'm thankful for them all.
Keep me humble lest I fall.
Your grace is sufficient for me.
